>>Does anyone know if people who get SARS and survive can be re-infected at a later time?<<

One of the treatments being tried is administering serum (blood serum) from people who have recovered from SARS, and that seems to be working, so that does suggest that survivors build up immunity.

The worry that I see (and I am not a doctor) is that if SARS is caused by a coronavirus, it is related to the common cold, which mutates constantly. That's why you can catch colds and never get immune.
