That stance encourages a kind of Balkanization of the thread. I think this discussion is trying to make mountains out of a molehill. The ignore function is there, and if you don't want to have to scroll by line after line of posts that don't interest you, so what? No big deal. I guess some people are pissed that everyone does not want to read every word they have posted, but that is "tough toenails." I also used it during the first week of the liberation to avoid the shrillness some here. But things have settled down and I have reversed my decisions.
