And of course how many times can you be told you stand for what you do not stand for, and side with people you do not side with, before you decide that the people you are talking with are rather thick.

I was making just that point a little while ago... I accused them of having tiny blinkered minds, but I think the thrust is similar <g>

IF ever anyone needed a better explanation of why I stay away from this thread, they couldn't find one better stated through the words of this post of yours:

"And of course how many times can you be told you stand for what you do not stand for, and side with people you do not side with, before you decide that the people you are talking with are rather thick."

Truer words hath not been spoken !!!!

>>>Other people think means are every bit as important as ends<<<

Trying to fool yourself into thinking that the path you choose was not ineptly the incorrect one will not fool anyone else.

You never once, nor did your pals, offer a practical alternative to war and you clearly preferred inaction over action.

The actions you took which portrayed disunity in backing the President of the United States and the others in the coalition, in enforcing a unanimous decision by the U.N. Security Council, a decision of the world, against a mass murdering thug dictator, led that dictator to feel that he could defy the will of the good and that his evil could prevail.

You did nothing for those suffering people of Iraq, and you were quite willing for their miserable lives to continue so that you could enjoy your luxury of inaction.

If you were not for immediate action, which resulted in the smiles on the faces of all the people of Iraq, young and old, both there and amongst the Iraqi refugees Wednesday, then who the hell is it that you think you were for?
