If you do not know that the resentment for America in the Middle East, and indeed in the rest of the Muslim world, is largely due to its unconditional support of Israel in its occupation of Palestinian land, then I cannot help you. Try to ask yourself this question - Why don't they hate, say, Australians or Europeans? Aren't they Christian enough? Of the differences between Muslims and Americans, I happen to know quite a bit, as someone who has lived in various parts of the Middle most of her life, and who also has lived, worked, and studied with Americans for long periods of time. The resentment in the Middle East against the US is largely due to its support of Israel against Palestinians. I certainly hope this is not the first time you are hearing of this.
