<vbg> Yes people have been telling me that since school days. It seems to actually rub off when I talk to people in person.

There are two books that I recommend everyone to read for life. One is Learned Optimism and the other is <Don't Shoot the Dog. Neither one is very long.

Learned Optimism is about research on the effects of optimism on progress and life. You will be amazed as to what you will learn. Among other things, the author correctly predicted who will win the presidential campaigns based on computer analysis of how optimistic their speeches were. He makes similar conclusions by analyzing Olympic coaches.

Don't Shoot the Dog is written by a dolphin trainer. She noticed that marine trainers have very well behaving children. After pondering about it, she realized that you cannot use force to train dolphins. (there is no leash to pull and if you get angry at them they will just swim to the bottom of the pull and stay there). She adapted these techniques to humans and taught them to bunch of summer camp kids. The next year the kids had very well behaving parents <g>.
