I saw a report last evening on CNN Headline. A British reporter showing the aftermath of the battle the marines were in yesterday around the mosque.

The report was specifically about the civilian casualties that were occuring because of civilian misunderstanding and mistakes and (understandably) jumpy marines. They showed a little girl who was injured and treated, the two adults with the girl were also injured and treated, (although they did not want to be filmed) and a man who was killed for coming out of his house during a fire fight.

I don't think that Americans do not want to see this kind of thing, I think that they want to see it in proportion to what else is happening, for if they do not, the view is skewed.
