Staff writer Bruce MacKinnon has just returned from the De Beers diamond exploration project in the James Bay Lowlands and will be filing a special full page report on Monday. MacKinnon’s story is a true exclusive. He’s the first reporter to ever be granted permission by De Beers to visit its much publicized Victor Project south of Attawapiskat. There’s still a lot of feasibility work to be done, but if all goes to plan, the Victor Project could result in Ontario’s first diamond mine.
