I had hoped the Blix and UN would have some impact but it appears it had none at all.

ben, give it some time and then toot your horn about lack of wmd. a former key member of the iraqi nuclear program says he is 100% positive it is there and has staked his reputation on it. he knows the "game" as played by saddam.

imho, basic psychology strongly indicates it is there. what motivates saddam? power. what brings power? big weapons.

keep in mind that the UN was about to claim iraq was "clean." then, saddam's son in law defected. there was WMD all over the place and the UN missed it all. we can't ask the son-in-law for any more info... saddam killed him.

give it some time. that is, unless you are *rooting* for failure. if that's the case. keep shaking the palm palms and add in a "rah, rah." ;-) otherwise, time will tell all - good, bad or ugly.

ps - it takes time to transport and plant the WMD, anyway... -lol-
