I agree with you re SI culture as well as the higher level of finesse shown by the military.

I read that article, and it is quite right. It was actually frustrating to see the same arguments of "You see, we won, you lost" employed on SI, as if anyone ever said the US would not win against Iraq.

Our concerns of increased terrorism, legitimacy of "preemptive" attacks, and the deepening abyss in the western world were of course not about the month of March but rather of a longer term.

and who do you think is trying to "anger the opposition"?

have you watched the footage of the ME media?

did you see many scenes of the jubilant iraqis?

to a person i have seen over and over our military AND our administration stress that there is much work to do in iraq (and perhaps beyond)....

i'm afraid i've seen more than a couple extremely premature "victory dances" on the regime's side...not a single one from ours.
