"and no obvious cross-checking with any of the authorities responsible the inspecting that site in January."

I watched on air reports that has been reported by myself &
others on SI that have done so & noted that the latest
round of inspectors were unaware of this recently built
massive underground facility.

Does this make it so? No.

I've noticed that the Pentagon has gone out of its' way to
be silent on many reported "finds", other than to say that
there has been no confirmed evidence yet. The pentagon,
Rumsfeld & other senior officials have repeatedly said that
extensive testing & reviews of all evidence will be done
before they will confirm or deny any evidence of WMD's.
They have consistently said it will take time & that other
countries will be involved in testing & reviewing evidence.

I think they are being prudent.

And let's remember that this war is not over. Out troops
have been in country for three weeks & two days. If giving
the UN 12 years was insufficient time, then the US should
be given ample time AFTER this war ends to search
for, review, test & conclude whether there WMD's are
present.

That is quite fair IMO.
