Frustrating how the world tells us to get out fast, but wants us to stop the looters.

I don't find it frustrating at all; it is, instead, a completely predictable (and consistent) incoherence of position.

Additionally, be sure that the conspiracy theorists will spin the (wise, IMO) decision of coalition forces not to act as a civil police force as a plot (!) whereby as looting continues and buildings, businesses and other installations are ransacked, the economic health of Iraq continues to weaken, leading to greater dependence on the greedy claws of Western oil barons and Wall Street fat cats.

Which is to say, the folks for whom this invasion occurred in the first place.

Yes, we should get out quickly, but also repair all war damage before we leave. Oh, and leave it a democracy (according to Europe) and a theocracy (according to Muslims).
