<< It's the lurkers who read your posts you need worry about. They soon conclude Evil has the same degree of credibility as you; >>

Anyone who reads Emile Vidrine's rabid comments, and agrees with him, is beyond all hope.

<< It appears to me you will not be satisfied with anything less than Israel as the ME superpower. >>

Not true. I wish that Israel didn't have to spend a penny for defense. I would like Jews to be able to live in peace. If Israel moves back to the pre-1967 indefensible borders, it could be a permanent move, and means large expenditures for defense forever.

In exchange for giving up a huge chunk out of it's already small country, Israel would get a piece of paper which makes Israel depend upon it's security from others.

If you look at the history of the Jews, anytime that Jews have had to depend upon others for their safety, Jews have been persecuted and massacred.

You are saying, trust the coalition. This time it will be different. The coalition will protect Israel.

Well......... Until the coalition establishes a track record, and shows that it isn't antiSemitic, I think that Israel should not rush into giving up land to the same terrorists who destroyed Lebanon, and have been targetting Israel with terrorist attacks for decades.

OTOH, I wouldn't mind seeing Israel given membership in NATO.
