Powell Quote

When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by
the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of
empire building by George Bush.

He answered by saying that, "Over the years, the United States has sent
many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom
beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in
return is enough to bury those that did not return."

It became very quiet in the room.

``The stone makes him bulletproof,'' Ali, a slim man with a Saddam-style mustache, said in a serious voice.

Perhaps one of muhammad's expelled kidney stones?

The chicken's feathers fell off, but it lived

Did anyone bother to check that the gun clip was full of blanks?

That belief, common throughout Iraq

Very typical. Is it no wonder why Iraq fell so quickly? Bestowing upon a leader mystical powers is simply transference of responsibility for ones own actions. These people refuse to be accountable for their own destiny. They will continue to be blight on humanity for several generations to come. Even now, given a dose of reality (the war) , they continue to concoct grand conspiracy tales of magic, sorcery and deception.

One would presume that, given their masochistic bent for koranic cultism, someone from the arab street would speak up that it is the "Will of God" or "so it is written so it shall be". This would be the precursor to change.
I have not heard one arab utter these words.
Why not? Arabs and koranic cultist will never admit the truth to themselves. Logic begs to say that they certainly will never admit it to the rest of the world. Concede their culture and society an abject failure? They have been delusively indoctrinated from birth that they are the chosen people. It is drilled into their psyche by their mullahs and imams day after day after day from the very moment they become sentient.
The problem with the koranic culture is that in the 20th century it was revealed as being an abject failure. By any rational calculation, it could not compete, and not simply because the deck was stacked against it. The problem was more fundamental; the culture itself contained the elements of its own failure.

The only arab nations which have prospered have done so entirely because of the accident of mineral wealth. Using money from export of oil, they imported a high tech infrastructure. They drive western cars. They use western cell phones. They built western high-rise steel frame buildings. They created superhighways and in every way implemented the trappings of western prosperity.
Or rather, they paid westerners to create all those things for them. They didn't build or create any of it themselves. It's all parasitic. And they also buy the technical skill to keep it running. The technological infrastructure of Saudi Arabia (to take an example) is run by a small army of western engineers and technicians and managers who are paid well, and who live in isolation, and who keep it all working. If they all leave, the infrastructure will collapse. Saudi Arabia does not have the technical skill to run it, or the ability to produce the replacement parts which would be needed. It's all a sham, and they know it. Everything they have which looks like modern culture was purchased. They themselves do not have the ability to produce, or even to operate, any of it.

Until the koranics reject their cult and suffer the verity that theirs is a dying culture, leeching onto the tit of the 11th century, a resplendent destiny will continue to avoid them.

Joe, with Iraq behind us, I have to admit that I am very disappointed not to have seen the Iraqi thugs stand-up and put up a fight! Should we conclude that some agreement was made with Saddam prior to liberation of Iraq?

It could have read like this: You do not use WMD,do not attack Israel, do not use your missiles, send to fight only the hot-headed rag-heads (so we can wipe them out!) and give us Bagdad. In return we will let you get away with your family and friends to enjoy your stolen money!"

Maybe we should ask Conilesa Rice if she knows something about such secret protocol that was signed and sealed with the help of Saudi Government.

In any case, this is the end of the Saddam, and the end of seeing these rag heads threaten the world with their arrogance. Now they will be quite for another 10 years.
