You might have already tried this but just in case, have you tried sending an e-mail to see if the newly sent e-mail shows up in the sent folder?

Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express and what version? Go to help and then about for version number.

If you select View/Folder list, do you see a "Sent Items" folder?
