You have a short memory. Lieberman's selection was the most stunning and positive development that came out of the Democratic convention. Given Lieberman's prior criticism of Clinton's personal excesses, the selection of Lieberman by Gore was a stroke of genius and represented a clean break with the Clinton baggage. Thank God that Gore remained ambivalent about Clinton and never got out from under his shadow.

I have to agree with you that Cheney cleaned Lieberman's clock.

I think it would have taken God himself to be on Gore's ticket for Gore to have won.

After all, here is a man who invented the internet and who could be more famous, smart, etc than him after this great accomplishment. Only, God.
