In this post-war mess, we need all the help we can get. Most of our soldiers need a break now and how are we going to police that country? They'll protect the oilfields and a few other places but the rest of the country -- Also, Syria and Iran have an interest in keeping us mired in Iraq. Our military did a great job but the post-military planning seems to be all but non-existent. Contrary to what the right-wing is saying, we ought to get the UN or some large peace-keeping forces from somewhere in there ASAP. Many billions worth of Iraqi infrastructure and publoic wealth are being looted and destroyed.
