I have a simple question for your simple mind - if it was intentional and Israel wanted to hide something then why did not they finish liberty. BTW, I can easily believe that israel attacked ship with US colors. Arabs attack under red cross, red flag, american flag or whatever get them closer. Without US notifying Israel of the US ship Israel could only rely on their best educated guess. That why US never blamed Israel for liberty incident. In the current war US shot down British aircraft even though it displayed UK colors. It happened so that that aircraft was not where it supposed to be and regardless of id signs it was presumed to be hostile
