I should think the US will find its influence in the area increasing.


And good that they are nervous! Now that they know the Americans are serious about what they say, and are not weak paper tigers, they will be more capable of hearing out our suggestions that liberalizing their societies are in their best interests...

With the exception of Young Assad, who seems dumber than the average grapefruit, force should not be required again in the ME against a State. Now we can apply a bit of Soft Power. That's my hope for things to come, at least.
