<apply some heat on President Mubarak of Egypt>

But Egypt is our ally. Mubarak has been killing Muslim Brotherhood people for years. Egypt started getting a lot of US aid when they signed a peace treaty with Israel. Our ships full of tanks, got to Iraq by way of Egypt's canal.

So, as far as elections and free press and peaceful transfers of power, a different standard will be applied. It's OK not to do any of those things, as long as you are America's friend. If you aren't our friend, then the absence of those items makes you evil, and a Regime Change candidate.

So, only Syria and Iran will be criticized for being undemocratic. Not Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait.
