I wonder whether Clinton and his buddies benefited from their knowledge that terrorists tried to blow up LAX at the end of December 1999. They did keep the incident secret...and knowing their sneaky behavior it's fair to wonder whether they were loading up on puts or selling futures early in 2000(they knew we had a bubble and terrorists knocking on the door).

The advent of CNBC and almost exclusive coverage of "positive only" economic news reports spurred the bubble frenzy. It was media driven and controlled.
