>>Allen I suppose you also believe that the college professors are not liberals. I guess the fact that over 90 % of the media voted for Bill CLinton means that they are conservative. Lesley Stahl was interviewed by Cal Thomas. She said there were plenty of conservatives around her. Cal Thomas asked her to name some. She couldn't.<<

Ron -

No, I'm quite certain that college professors are, for the most part, liberals. Many of them are the worst kind of liberals, too. Academic PC liberals with no tolerance for opposing viewpoints.

The media are another matter.

Talk radio is dominated by conservatives. TV Talk shows are dominated by conservatives. Fox News and CNN demonstrated their conservative bent yet again in their coverage of the war in Iraq.

The media in general classified the 2002 elections as a massive defeat for Democrats, when in fact only two seats in the Senate were lost, by very narrow margins. While that did change the balance of power, it really didn't constitute some kind of massive groundswell. We're only talking about a few hundred thousand votes.

Obviously, whether one views something as being right or left depends upon one's own position. To me, the media's coverage of the news does not indicate an overal liberal bias. Their voting record is immaterial, even if you could actually back up your claim that 90% of them voted for Clinton.
