Who?

How many British spies have we caught?

Or how many American spies have the British caught?

Self interest is the name of the game in the game of nations. "Friends" in fact do spy on friends.

But that doesn't mean the US should blindly trust Israel.

the issue is not just that jonathan pollard committed serious acts of espionage against america on behalf of israel, rather it's the insolent attitude exhibited by the israelis after he was caught. not only did our "friends" the israelis not express sincere regret, they actually promoted a number of people involved in the spying. of course there were serious attempts (even by former prime ministers) to lobby for clinton to pardon pollard, but then he had already pardoned way too many jews as it was, including that most controversial pardon of marc rich.

if clinton pardoned pollard i think the fact that bill clinton is in the pocket of the jews would have been a little too obvious.
