You don't think that the threats by Egypt to destroy Israel, and the attacks against Israel by Egypt's fedayeen and the forming of a large united military by Egypt, Syria and Jordan to attack Israel, were legitimate grounds for Israel to strike back?
NK threatened a nuclear attack on the US a while back. Should we launch because of that? Yes or no?

If you say that technically Egypt and Israel were already at war in 1949, when Egypt closed the Suez Canal to Israel, why do you say that Israel started the war?
OK. Israel started the next round of shooting after an 7-year undeclared truce.

What are you saying, that Israel went to war over the closing of the Canal in 1949??? The official start of open hostilities started in 1956.
BZZZZTTTTT! Egypt did not get control of the canal until 1956. It was under British control till then. Like Panama did not get control of its canal until 2000.

"In November 1956, we had a choice. The reason for going to war then was the need to destroy the fedayeen, who did not represent a danger to the existence of the state...In June 1967, again we had a choice. The Egyptian army concentrations in the in the Sinai approaches do not prove that Nasser was really about to attack us. We must be honest with ourselves. We decided to attack him." --Former Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Begin, accomplished terrorist leader of the Irgun.
