pictures of the Russians lined up outside McDonalds in Moscow when it opened.

A couple years ago when I was visiting Bombay I saw something similar. People waiting in line for a table at McD's. Its marketed there as a "fine dining place". My friends there said "it was worth the wait". I said "I'm not waiting for junk food that I can get within a minute around the corner in the US". We eventually ended up at an Indian restaurant, where the food was worth the wait.
