"Maybe the survivors of the victims of Saddam can sue the UN nations that did nothing during the past 12 years to help insure their families were not killed by Saddam the murderer"

Now wait. Who was it who said "France should pick up the slack in Africa", and "we don't care what happens in Africa since it's hopeless"? I'm trying to figure out how you manage to write off a whole continent for the conceivable future, but think that waiting 12 years while a small country just sits there, is excessive. I fail to see the rational reasons for worrying about the *victims* in Iraq, when there are actually many more victims in other places. And did the UN really fail? Iraq did nothing. It didn't attack anyone during those 12 years and inspections went on, and weapons were destroyed. I'd call that a success. I'd call other places in the world much more critical. If you're worried about murderers, there are plenty of murderers worse than Saddam, I have to wonder why they're not even on the dance card.

That would be good. Maybe they could sue the UN over the phoney Food for Oil program too. I think I read somewhere that Saddam and his sons were skimming off billions each year to build palaces and generally buy people and things. I would bet if a good lawyer were put on that case, there would be plenty of evidence that the UN knew.

All JMO you know.
