Democrats pointed out today that President Bush's budget creates a 1.5 trillion dollar deficit. The White House quickly responded with 'Hey, look over there, it's Saddam Hussein.'

I was watching CBS Sunday and they were showing the Museum of Baghdad. How it had been looted and vandalized. Everything is gone and destroyed. They had stuff from the Roman Empire there. And from ancient Mesopotamia, 5,000 year old stuff. Of course, that stuff is priceless. Now it's all gone. They are blaming it on common looters but I wonder if that may be covering a bigger crime. Like some people who thought about getting that stuff during the confusion and selling it. They were blaming it on the Iraqi people and were showing the Museum Director beating her head in grief. But I don't buy that. She didn't think to hide that stuff? I will bet my last dollar she had the most priceless stuff stashed somewhere. She couldn't be that stupid to leave it in the building. With bombs falling and troops coming? I bet that stuff hasn't been in Baghdad in weeks. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to be fabulously wealthy for her and her co-conspirators.
