The old concept of "Pen Pal" has certainly been updated by what we do here. I have a lot of difficulty explaining this thread to people I know. They tend to think of it in terms of some AOL "Chat" room they have been in. I go, "No, No," and try to explain, then give up afterwhile. I would be interested to know if others have found another thread anywhere that compares to this one.
