re the prev post, I just realized that this was an important event : a few days ago no Iraqi would have dared to protest against anything. What I saw, showed that they know the meaning of "freedom from saddam". Dont let anyone tell you different.

our troops may need some additional training in dealing with the new phenomena of "War on TV"....I just watched a clip on TV, where some Iraqis were demonstrating in front of US troops

One soldier responded quite audibly on TV "we're here to fight for your f'in freedom

Think about the freedom that civilian exercised (three weeks ago complaining about the authorities brought certain and swift death.) and the initial words of response by the GI.

Everything else in that exchange of words was (like much here) superfluous.
