No actually the American right-wing is kind of fascist-lite. Franco would have been right up their alley. Very nationalistic, militaristic, flag-wavers, intolerate of dissent, exaggerating enemies but also liking sweetheart money deals. What else do you want? Fascist-lite works. Especially since we can use 9-11 as the perfect excuse.
