arrogant (ar*ro*gant*) adj.

1 .Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance.

2.Marked by or arising from a feeling or assumption of one's superiority toward others: an arrogant contempt for the weak. See Synonyms at proud.

Your pronouncement of the "use diplomacy first" is laughable, especially in the face of what was the original arguement: the use of force at-will in order to "liberate" a country.

The words "isn't the best regime" and "but they haven't misbehaved" is as sanctimonious as any political commentary I have ever read.

If any country needs "liberating" it is Saudi Arabia. I've already stated why that is, so I needn't go into it again. Why, in your esteemed moral judgement is Saudi Arabia not worthy of "liberation" and Iraq is???

On the one hand you are painting an absolutist picture of behavior from external relations (as you see them) in S.A. and reasoning that the "people need to be liberated from Saddam" in the form of an invasion for the benefit of the Iraqi people because of what you see as internal relations of a sovereign nation, on the other hand.

On top of that, you are making these pronouncements out of convenience fo your point-of-view (We're right because I say so). That is hypocrital and arrogant.

So what is worse, an Iraqi citizen being summarily executed in a plastic shredder for "treason" or a Saudi citizen being thrown to the scorpion pits for "moral turpitude"??
