Yes, Glenn, I started to suspect the same thing after reading it a few times later. OTOH, I have seen the same sentiments from many SI posters and a few government officials. So on general principle, anyone who tries to squelch the free speech that makes up the very lifeblood of true democracy, deserves to be labeled as an authoritarian hypocrite. My response to anyone who says I should substitute loyalty for reason is "bite me". ;<) Personally I wouldn't trust most members of Congress to supervise a garden party much less anything important like national policy. I met too many of them on their visits overseas to feel differently.
