I said, "There is a minimum level of order and freedom that is necessary for capitalism to prosper". I said nothing about democracy. Quite obvious to inspection, in order to sell a lot of goods, people need the freedom to buy a lot of goods. If you have choice in what to buy, then your choices shopping choices become an expression of your opinions. (I may choose to boycott French goods in favor of American ones or vice versa or I may choose rock music which is rebellious or choose Christian folk music, etc). Similarly, you cannot have proper trade where there is no order.

Neither of these requirements mean democracy or good laws. They just mean some freedom and fair amount of order.
