Marcos,
meant to post a follow up message to that post i made to you about the numerology in Japan ... Not much of a believer in it myself so don`t profess to know much... Anyway, seems like we were both half right and half wrong. The number "4" is like I said quite bad in Japan as it rhymes with death, so you`ll never see gift sets of four for instance, rather there will be five items instead. But you were partly right on the number "8" , not because of its pronunciation though as you had said (that`s the Chinese take apparently) but on the way it is written, with suggests endlessness, infinity etc ...

This is a regular theme in Japan, things with no end, (or no discernable ends, as in top and bottom, first and last , start and stop) like for example the "endless" chopsticks used to eat "endless" noodles on New Year`s day (the ends of the chopsticks are exactly the same top or bottom, so they have no "end" and the noodles are long enough that you could say they have no ends...) Anyway, the chinese character used to write the number eight suggests such endlessness, which means no end to your happiness or life ... We gold sympathisers sure could use some endless happiness and a no end in sight price appreciation in spot ...

Not much to add to your post i thought on the stock ticker picks, I have been in some good names mostly through luck i suppose, also had Francisco in another account and now have GLG and got my starter position in CKG that way. I guess one thing an investor or trader, but more so an investor, needs to be aware of is money management skills, risk management skills and trading entry and exits, at least to put the maximum amount of chances on your side. The most succesful strategy learned on SI from Mike Burke is the 1/3 approach, (maybe not his copyright but that`s who i learned it from) . Plann the dollar amount or in other words the % of you pf you are willing to risk on one particular prospect and acquire in 1/3s, once you reach your goal, stop.
Then of course, my screen name refers to Step #1 of trading, and that is to take your losses early and quickly, sometimes i forget that rule though, so i have made it a name, Step1.

MFL.TO Still have most of my shares, a push in Au or Ag would sure improve the price there...

SUF.TO it will get rerated eventually.

WTC, never played, although i was tempted when it was around two bucks. At one point your reach saturation in your pf though in one type of security, so i passed.

CKG, now a big position for me in terms of money expanded in a explorer, so will see what happens with this one. Luckily i got a good start thru Francisco...

NGT.wt, sure would be nice to see some appreciation on the warrants, like tomorrow or something, June is fast approching and i have a fair chunk ... This is a do or die type of situation, at the price they trade now they are not worth selling ...

MOY, very disappointed at the reaction to the Nem news, would have like to see a bit of euphoria here ... Still a ____ bagger from the time i bought but it feels crappy for some reason... Isnt the sky supposed to be the limit?<g>

DNT, don`t know , crap shoot for me.

and the usd, sounds like whoever said the next war against the us should be fought against the currency instead of against the US army is right. Didnt think we would hear the warnings about Syria so soon though, so this keeps the incertainty ball in play, with Turkey probably very nervous that the US with all the time it spends on the various issues of Baath party fugitives, Shia discord, interim government tractations, is too busy keeping the kurds in check and away from Mosul and Kirkuk... and now Syria... hope they find the ultimate weapon, Alladin`s lamp...

later

Hi Marcos,

I was just doing a search on DNT and came across this post of yours:)

Anyway, I was at the Montreal Gold Show this weekend and, being the absolute perfectionist that I am, actually sat through two entire days of presentations. Yes, Lawrence Roulston was there and he did recommend DNT as well as RMX.

Cheers,

Sue
