Yeah that damned Bush. If it weren't for him the terrorists would love us, and everything would be hunky dory.

There is a solution cut all spending across the board by 15 %. Who would scream the loudest? The Democrats. Because they would scream and whine it can't be done. At some point for the good of this country they have to stop spending. Sadly the Republicans have adopted the attitude that if we can't beat them then join them. Buy votes. Prescription drugs are frivolous as are most of the programs out there. An across the board cut of 15 % would make this economy roar but the politicians have now decided that they have to buy votes. You libs are now screaming about deficits but the truth is you are the ones that demand deficits.

Every year you create a new crisis that demands that we give up more to the government and that the government spend more. Prescription drugs etc etc etc.
I agree that right now there should be no tax cut but instead a 15 % cut from all programs except the military which is one of the few things that government should do. Actually it is one of the few things that government does well. Contrast the war on Iraq to the war on poverty and the education system. We had a run down military after the CLinton years but in a short time we restored it while the education system never improves and all the war on poverty did was rob the tax payer and accomplish nothing. The rate of poverty never changed but government expanded beyond rational sense.
