Jacob,

that's a "we support the troops" bumper sticker, on an SUV with 17-inch tires that gets 8 mpg. Easy, once you realise that happiness in life is proportional to rate of gasoline consumption

SUV's are not the only users of energy or oil, or even the worst offenders.

Why would we even allow people to live in Alaska, Arizona or Nevada? It takes enormous energy resources to heat homes and buildings in Alaska. In Arizona and Nevada its not just the air-conditioning, its the water - its not there. Who is looking into these costs?

For that matter NJ requires air-conditioning and heat!
