what i was "hoping" for in january was that POG would not necessarily go higher than 350 or so at that point but to consolidate there, and i was then "hoping" for the gold shares, especially some terrific value juniors around here, would adjust upwards...didn't happen as you know...but 350 gold is only 25 bucks away, it could creep up there...i guess hope springs eternal !
i guess you know where some of them traded last may, with the POG not higher than now -ng-

Hi retired and RF,

"... wild speculation CONTINUING into June ? when does this wild speculation start ?"

In late May, I expect to see new high in some doggie stocks. There will be some speculative favorites (like Golden Star?) continuing to catch new high bids into June, after the XAU and HUI turn down from the peak.

"I don't get it either. *Sell in May and Go Away* is the rule and except for the odd buyout, I can't see this being any different."

Exactly my point. Get out in May, because only the MM, the lucky, and VT make money in the wild speculation phase.

Regards,
