<getting a oil royalty check from State of Alaska>

Actually, the check comes from investment gains of the Fund. The capital, which was originally funded from oil royalties, is not touched. So, when the oil runs out (as it inevitably will, even if ANWR is drilled), the Fund just keeps going and going and going........

Funnier: I do own a Ford Expedition, currently with 17 inch studded tires on it. Which is the only vehicle that works, to haul an entire scout den on our steep icy roads. I feel vaguely guilty about it; not enough to change what I own and use.

Kinda funny to see a guy from Anchorage, who is getting a oil royalty check from State of Alaska, complaining about our oil usage.

Yeah, but he has a sense of humor. ;-)
