That, and similar "analysis" with Windows in place of Linux, has been the "conventional wisdom" for quite a few years now. I think Linux has a lot of advantages over Windows, but it's not a panacea.

For the life of me, I dont see how one follows the other. In the auto market manufactures often have an ENTRY level model that leads later into more expensive models. Same is true in the boat industry. What's wrong with SUNW having a cheap entry level server that leads their customer base into the creme de la creme later? jdn
