These press conferences at White House, Pentagon, etc are a joke.. The people who represent the press and news stations ask stupid questions.. No real serious journalism going on. I think they pass through the assignment as trainees or remain as dead woodFor example, Laura O'Donnell. Young woman, fast tracker. in the Penatgon one day gone on to other assignments quickly,, do not waste her on daily non event assignments. Best thing we got was the reporters in the field.. It helped to show how our troops were handling themselves. It helped balance world reports.
