DTE Energy Offers Online Billing Convenience With eBill

Monday April 14, 2:33 pm ET

DETROIT, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy today announced it will offer its residential and small business customers throughout Michigan the convenience of online billing with its eBill.

The free DTE Energy eBill service will allow customers to view and pay their DTE Energy bill -- for services provided by its Detroit Edison and Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. (MichCon) subsidiaries -- with the click of a mouse. CheckFree, the leader in online billing, will power the DTE Energy eBill.

"The DTE Energy eBill provides convenience and control of your personal finances," said Joyce Hayes-Giles, DTE Energy senior vice president, Customer Service. "Our customers will have the option to manage all of their DTE Energy bills in one location, and if they so choose, can even pay other bills using the CheckFree service."

Once enrolled, a customer's paper bill will not be issued and all future bills will be delivered online, with notification via e-mail. Customers can print bills and access a six-month billing and payment history. The bill will look like the familiar paper version and links are provided to the DTE Energy web site so eBill customers will receive all of the same communications mailed to off-line customers. . .
