Fascinating post, Bill. But you are way over your two article post limit for the day. I love these reportial pieces and could do without the Hanson, Weekly Standard, etc. Perhaps we could persuade Ken that reportial pieces should not be subject to a two post limit; only these editorial pieces like Weekly Standard, et al.

Sounds like just the right person to build a democratic tradition in Iraq with. With building blocks like that, a magnificant edifice of Freedom will go up in no time. Maybe he can be invited to Washington for a photo-op with the President. Bush2 could call him the "moral equivalent of the Founding Fathers", as Reagan called the Afghan Islamists in the 1980s (when they were temporarily on our side).
