Peter Arnett was fired by CNN for publishing the gas attack story without checking it out first. The story was proven to be fictitious. CNN mindful of its reputation concluded that Arnett had been reckless and fired him. CNN does not have a reputation of being a conservative or excessively pro-USA in its reporting. If it had been then they never would have run the story in the first place. This material was repeated recently after MSNBC got smart and got rid of Arnett over his dumb-ass idea of being interviewed by the Sadaam's Iraqi propaganda outfit.
