When you get right down to it... the extreme left and extreme right are practically identical, except for their euphemisms and the codes beneath their language.

Ever read "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding? Strange things happen when authority is suddenly removed. In Iraq's case, more than a decade of extreme poverty was an unfortunate extra. When you are down to worrying about your next glass of water, the stele of the Code of Hammurabi is just an item to sell and feed your family.

Of course it is less than rational to strip hospitals and even less so the water sanitation facilities, but doesn't Game Theory predict individual players always acting in their own self-interest, often at the expense of their own collective good?
