I left out North Korea and Cuba by mistake: had them both in the list and deleted them with some other text, my apologies. I was trying to make the point that many countries considered on our side employ torture, their hands are not clean.

Cuba's record is abysmal, I know North Korea also is widely acknowledged as employing torture. I was pulling countries from Amnesty International's site, on which I had found listed Cuba, NK and China at least.

I see your point, and understand why you made it when I look over the countries I listed, but it was not my intention nor my political leaning to favour Communist states. I'm no fan of Communism. Some of most totalitarian regimes in the world are Communist, and there is no excusing the way they treat their citizenry. Political leaning, left or right, should permit no 'free passes'.
