Islam is a state religion in case you have not noticed.

I can state at least one secular and democratic state in a country where 99+% are Muslim, which disproves this statement. Hence, it is not true.

The concept of freedom of religion in the U.S. means freedom not only of religion but freedom from religion.

I understand. I also know that I lived most of my life in various places in the Middle East and I am as far from religion (read: overtly agnostic) as it gets. Contrary to what you might believe reading about it from your media, they don't kill you for saying you don't even believe in God.

What don't you understand?

So the fact that I disagree with you means I must be showing lack of understanding, because you understand it all so well. Hmm.

Re your little story - What do you wish to say with it?

It may be the roots of why adultery is punished by stoning in Shariat, but I cannot see how it relates to the topic of our discussion, which was whether or not Muslims want to "convert or kill" non-Muslims.
