Hey tough guy, I'll give you a rifle and a ticket to China if you want to kick their asses.

It has nothing to do with kicking anyone's ass. It has to do with applying the appropriate political and economic pressure to bring about a desired result. The U.S. has been trading with the Chinese for decades and overlooking their horrendous human rights record along the way, like the use of prison labor and summary executions. It really makes our trade embargo against Cuba seem like a joke. The Chinese are far worse human rights abusers than Castro, yet we trade quite a lot with China and embargo Cuba. Not to say that we shouldn't be addressing the Cuban human rights issue as well, but to let the Chinese get off so easily is really a travesty. It shows you where our priorities really lie, when the almighty dollar comes calling, human rights and other niceities like that fall by the wayside.

It needs more than one guy with a rifle. It needs the US armed forces to do it. Looks like they are afraid because the Chinese are too strong! But if they get some weakling like Iraq, they will beat the crap out of it.
