The neocon purpose is becoming clearer. First of all they want the U.S. to be the strongest country. They don't want this to happen in the usual way that a country becomes the strongest, that is to have the strongest central government and leader. They just want the strongest army. The key to power shareing and therefore stability under neocon rule is to weaken the government and consequently increase the influence and power of mega-corporate interests. The captains of industry become the new leaders, unencumbered by elections, racial equality, checks, or balances. The government is still there, but it deprived of money and therefore influence. It is relegated to the minor tasks of governence and in turn allowed to pass around some pork for the constituents, not too much though. The real pork is for the CEOs who miss their Lear jets and martini lunches. Everyone else? Wage slaves! Shelter and Transportation needs will ensure that close enough to all who are outside the CEO class will have debts to pay, and therefore employment commitments to meet. I owe, I owe, So off to work I go! It's not a new idea. When Musolini was the weak leader of a country run by industrialists they called the system Fascism. In some ways it is the modern equivalent to feudalism. The funny thing is that many people who will be adversely affected are calling for their own shackles to be strengthened. TP
