Worm? Magpie? It has all the distinguishing genetic characteristics it will ever have. It is only different in size, developmental stage, extra-uteral viability, self-awareness, intellect. I doubt we want to start taking life based on those criteria. No, the only question is at what stage in a human's development it is worth protecting. Since most abortions are "convenience abortions" the issue is at what point we tolerate life when it inconveniences us. I am fine with abortion when life is at risk, most birth defects, rape, incest. Not, however as OOOOPPPPPSSSSS, not this, not now. That is a bit callous and presumptuous. Since when is it a right to take a life? Rights include the right to use precautions, to say 'no", to take responsibility for a mistake, to delay gratification, and many more. It's hard for me to argue for a right to abort a life when so many other rights have been foregone. It shows you where our priorities really lie, when the almighty dollar comes calling, human rights and other niceities like that fall by the wayside.
