True. The far left has got to be kicking themselves in the ass for putting Bush into office by supporting Nader and the Greens in 2000. Bush has been a total disaster for anything progressive in this country, from environmental to military policy. As much as Gore really wasn't a true liberal, he would have certainly been much better for progressive interests than Bush. Bush has been the far left's worst nightmare. At least when Reagan was in office, the Dems controlled the House and were able to keep some of his more regressive policies in check. Now, the lunactic right is running the asylum and the progressives are out in the cold. It really does matter who you vote into office. Unless a Green candidate has a viable chance of winning, it's probably best for a progressive to vote Democratic.
