Hi coug,
My position is ambivalent and changeable. :-)
I wasn't in favor of a preemptive strike until I heard Powell's testimony (in early Feb, I believe) that we had evidence of WMD's. That's when I changed my mind.

On the other hand, I think Bush is ham-handed in terms of diplomatic maneuverings and short-sighted as to the implications of his actions and rhetoric with regard to the global community.

What I am comfortable supporting is our troops' actions, having received orders to move in. I felt they were well-trained, professional, and most importantly, compassionate. Now I hope they get orders to get out quickly.

What worries me about the relatively quick and low-cost (in terms of American and British lives) "war" is that Bush and company will be emboldened and repeat the process with other countries. I see them doing this with Syria and I don't like it.
